ERA Skateboards are an UK based skateboard brand, who design and create high quality timber cruiser boards, with meticulously sourced components and a desire to give the skateboard market both a thing of beauty and a great ride.

ERA’s connection with the birth of the skateboard scene in the United States runs deep and informs the look of their products. Because of this connection, when the team at ERA came to Foundling to discuss producing a short company film, we were keen to capture the feel of the endless 1960/1970 summers and the kind of freedom that skateboarding delivers.

To create two short films to help ERA’s audience understand the the brand philosophy, get to know what ERA offer and see how there traditional boards and ideals, fit into the modern market.

The first of the short films was shot in two outside locations and combines rich visuals with a bespoke soundtrack, produced in house. MD Barnie, was interviewed to give context to the visuals and offer his story of how a young boy from Romford, came to be the owner of one the UK’s most unique skate brands.
